Ir.Dr. Majahar Bin Abd. Rahman has been working with the Department of Occupational Safety and Health Malaysia (DOSH) since 1992, currently is a Director of DOSH, Terengganu. He is holding PhD in Public Health from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). He received his Masters in Occupational Safety and Health Management from Brunel University, London.  He is actively involving in the occupational safety and health (OSH) policy development, enforcement and training activities particularly in occupational hygiene and chemical management.

He is the chairman of Committee for Mainstreaming Industrial Hygiene Under Strategy 4 Occupational Safety and Health Master Plan 2020, Technical Committee National Standard on Indoor Air Quality and Systematic Occupational Health Enhancement Level Programme   (SoHELP) Implementation Committee. Actively involves as a trainer in Globally Harmonised System on Chemical Classification and Labelling (GHS) and other OSH related courses organised by DOSH, government agencies and professional bodies. He also involves in OSH research especially in action research. Among research that he conducted are:  Malaysian chemical supplier compliance status to Classification Packaging and Labelling of Hazardous Chemicals Regulations, 1997 (CPL), factors determining chemical safety legislation compliance among small and medium industry employers in Malaysia and OSH management status in banking and real estate industry in Negeri Sembilan.
